Instructions:
- Preparation: Give each child several sheets of paper and show them how to fold simple paper airplanes. Allow them to decorate their planes with markers or crayons.
- Hypothesis: Ask the children to predict which airplane will fly the farthest and why.
- Experiment: Allow each child to throw their planes. Use the measuring tape to measure the distance of each plane.
- Discussion: Talk about why some airplanes went farther than others. Discuss how the weight, design, and throwing technique play a part in the distance.
